Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discuss how ISO uses keywords and phrases to effectively and efficiently develop and implement the requirements of the standard.
- Describe the process-based approach of the standard.
- Explain concepts in ISO/IEC 17025 such as:
- Continuous improvement
- Verification and validation
- Decision rules
- Principles of impartiality
- Risk-based thinking
- Analyze scenarios to determine if the applications conform to the requirements of the standard
- Discuss the importance of metrological traceability and how it impacts the validity of results
- List the areas where documents and records are required under the new standard.
NOTE: A post-test is available for this course. This is voluntary and may be useful for demonstrating competency in meeting ISO/IEC 17025 clause 6.2.5 requirements.
