Precision Humidity Measurement Training

Course Price: $349

Target Learner:

Technicians, Engineers, and Scientists

Course Description:

Precision Humidity Measurement develops the knowledge and professional judgment required to generate, measure, evaluate, and communicate reliable moisture conditions in gases and controlled environments.

The course is organized around thermodynamic principles and measurement needs rather than individual sensor types. Participants begin by examining water vapor, saturation, vapor pressure, relative humidity, dew point, frost point, temperature, pressure, and moisture concentration.

Learners explore representative instruments and systems such as:

  • Capacitive humidity sensors
  • Resistive sensors
  • Chilled-mirror hygrometers
  • Psychrometers
  • Dew-point transmitters
  • Electrolytic moisture analyzers
  • Humidity data loggers
  • Environmental chambers
  • Two-pressure generators
  • Two-temperature generators
  • Divided-flow generators
  • Saturated-salt systems
  • Reference thermometers and pressure instruments
  • Automated calibration and monitoring systems

The course also addresses sensor placement, chamber loading, air circulation, sample lines, leaks, adsorption, desorption, contamination, stabilization, condensation prevention, calibration, measurement assurance, uncertainty, and reporting.

The objective is not merely to teach learners how to read a humidity display. It is to develop professionals capable of determining whether the complete system establishes and measures the intended moisture condition with sufficient confidence for the decision.
